At NewZeal, we recognise the invaluable contributions of our nation's farmers who are among the world's most emission-efficient food producers. They work tirelessly to feed our families, and we highly value their role in our society. It makes no sense to burden them with excessive taxes and regulations that could potentially drive them out of business.

• NewZeal is committed to supporting our farmers, advocating for fair taxation policies that do not inhibit their ability to thrive. We oppose the current trend to legislate a reduction in farming because it is leading directly to higher food prices and a lower quality of life for all people

• We will work towards creating an environment that fosters growth, innovation, and resilience in the agricultural sector. We are committed to our farmers by facilitating the adoption of world-leading technologies that support sustainable and affordable food production, and enable the continued prosperity of our farming communities.

• NewZeal will actively engage with rural communities to develop policies that safeguard the land, water, and other natural resources. We will prioritise responsible resource management, balancing economic progress with environmental sustainability. This will include measures to promote renewable energy alternatives.

• We are dedicated to wise stewardship of our nation's natural beauty and resources. It is our responsibility as guardians / kaitiaki, to ensure that these resources are used wisely and in a sustainable manner for future generations.
